With his teaching haircutting one-on-one with students at our local beauty school, he has helped to train the future hairstylists of our community. Pablo specializes in slice cutting, which allows hair to move freely, look great, lay down or stand up as desired, and always grow out gracefully. Pati Parodi
Pati is a colorist/stylist with over 20 years' experience. She has the innate ability to create the cut, color and style for her clients that perfectly match their personality and lifestyles. Pati graduated from the Vidal Sassoon Academy in Los Angeles and as both a student at the Academy and an assistant at the Beverly Hills salon, she received long term training under some of the industry’s top professionals in both precision haircutting and technical and creative hair color.
Pati is committed to her clients and to continuing education. Some of the most exciting training Pati has completed includes a 1 month haircutting and color intensive at the Jingles Academy in London, and a 2 week advanced haircutting clinic at the Vidal Sassoon Academy in San Francisco. Pati has used Goldwell color for 19 years and as a member of Goldwell’s Elite Color Alliance she has completed all levels of education and certification available. Pati is a color specialist who loves all aspects of the art and science of hair color. Stacie Rodrigues
Stacie’s main goal when doing her clients hair is to assure they leave with hair they love not just that day but for weeks to come. In order to achieve that goal she has attended intensive color and cutting classes at Jingles, New York City and The Redken Exchange, New York City and Arrojo Studios, New York City as well as spent countless hours at symposiums, hair shows and other hands-on classes. Continuing education remains a priority for her. She is always up to date on the current styles and techniques. She specializes in hair color and is pleased to use All-Nutrient, a certifiably organic hair color line made in the USA. In addition to using the All-Nutrient color she is also an educator for them. Keeping up with the latest advances in hair care technology Stacie offers the Amazon Series smoothing keratin treatment. The Amazon Series treatment is absolutely formaldehyde free for your health and the health of your hair. Stacie takes pride in being on time for her clients and places emphasis on the consultation process. She excels at finding a hairstyle that both suits the clients face and hair texture as well as their lifestyle. She enjoys working with all types of hair. Kennette Roberts
It is a rare gift to meet someone who truly loves their work. Listening to people, learning, community service and spending time outdoors best describes Kennette.
After working behind the chair for 13 years, Kennette embarked on a new adventure and together with Pablo Yee opened the doors of Keparé Salon. She takes pride in playing an integral part in the creation of a wonderful work atmosphere. Keparé has a dynamic group of people, and after almost 15 years over 80% of the original team is still together.
Hair Cutting, Coloring, Highlighting, Perming, & working with Naturally Curly Hair are the things Kennette enjoys most. Kennette's training includes multiple hands-on haircutting classes with Toni&Guy of London. Her hair color education is extensive and includes advanced training with top names in the industry such as, Framisi of Italy; Colorly, and Goldwell International, the color line she loves working with today. She uses Biolage permanents and credits her success to the conditioning treatment she applies to hair between the perm solution and the neutralizing process. Her hair care product line of choice is Pureology. Kennette truly believes these products can improve the quality of one's hair.
When Kennette's not in the Salon, chances are she's on a pond or stream Fly Fishing.
Sandy Helin
If you're looking for a setting where you can feel relaxed and nurtured, engage in intelligent conversation, and at the same time have fun while getting your hair done, you've come to the right place. Sandy is proud to be one of Keparé's crew of outstanding professionals, whose work shows pride, skill, and love. Just ask one of her many clients, who adore her.
With thirty years' experience and mastering just about every aspect of hairdressing, Sandy now focuses largely on the business professional. She has extensive training in both men's and women's hair design, and specializes in classic haircuts, beards, color weaves, and natural looking gray coverage. Her credentials include Rosston Academy of Men's Hair Design, ABBA International Academy of Hair Design, and ongoing continuing education in both cutting and color. Goldwell and Colorly are her preferred color lines.
Rahni Reyes
If you’re looking for a hairstylist with that rare combination of the knowledge to help you find your best look, the experience to make it happen, and the desire for you to have fun throughout, Rahni is the one for you! She is an expert in the art of haircutting, as well as an accomplished colorist. Rahni has been working at Keparé since our salon opened. She loves what she does, and is always learning something new. Rahni is ready with fresh ideas and the newest products and techniques to help your hair reach its fullest potential, bringing you the biggest smile. In addition to beautiful cuts and colors, Rahni offers a formaldehyde-free Keratin Smoothing Treatment that can make hard to manage hair soft, smooth and in control.
Donna Guizio
Donna Guizio has been a hair stylist for nearly twenty years. She loves her work and gets great satisfaction out of creating a beautiful cut and color that is executed with precision and makes her clients' look and feel their best.
Donna participates in continuing education in both haircutting and color so she is always sure to stay attuned to the latest styles and techniques.

Julie has been a licensed hairstylist for over 25 years. She has been educated in the latest trends and techniques. She has completed advanced training with Redken and the Paul Mitchell Styling Team. Julie specializes in all facets of color, especially multidimensional color.
Being a proud mother of three fastidious daughters has afforded her patience as well as the skills for the perfectionist in all of us. Karen Slater
Karen trained and worked in Michigan for 4 years before moving to Santa Cruz. She now has over 20 years' experience. She has continued her education doing hands-on classes with Vidal Sassoon, Gary Gerard, and Sam Villa. She really enjoys hairstyling and gets immense gratification from seeing the transformation in her clients at the end of their appointment and how pleased they are with their hair.
Karen likes doing classic, timeless styles and believable hair color. Karen uses Redken Color Gels, Redken Shades EQ, and All-Nutrient certifiably organic hair color.
Alanna Searcy
Alanna's passion for her craft is executed daily through detail oriented color and cutting. Alanna began her career in Cosmetology at Wayne's College of beauty in Santa Cruz and completed the program in 1998. She went on, immediately after graduation, to a one year intensive apprentice program with a Goldwell color specialist. Alanna prides herself in keeping up with the latest trends and styles by continuing her education in advanced hair cutting and color techniques through the Redken and Goldwell Academies. Alanna's diversity as a hairstylist ranges from men's and women's haircutting to beautiful color and highlights.

Hope Velasquez
Hope has been in the industry for 15 years. She pursues her passion for hair here in Santa Cruz County and she works for a global leader in professional hair color, Schwarzkopf Professional. For the last 8 years, Hope has had the opportunity to travel around the United States teaching and sharing her knowledge in color on stage showing the latest trends for the seasons, as well as working at the Schwarzkopf academies in New York, St. Louis, and Denver. Her specialty is color placement. Hope has been fortunate to work with some of the best stylists, in the industry. She continues to take workshops in advanced color and precision cutting twice a year. This has allowed her to educate her clients and continue to give them the most up to date trends. For the last 7 years she has called Keparé her home. Her specialties are in color and Haircutting, Permanent Straightening and wedding styles/up styles on location or in the salon.

Jen Wolfenden
Jen Wolfenden is a Certified Redken Specialist with over 14 years' experience, and her passion is coloring hair! Jen excels at analyzing her client's eye color and complexion to help her create multidimensional colors that complement her client's skin tone and makes their eye color pop! Jen creates gorgeous highlights, glazes and permanent or demi-permanent color to satisfy her client's needs and lifestyle. Whether you need grey blending or sparkling highlights, you will love the way Redken products make your hair look and feel. Jen's motto is "healthy hair is beautiful hair". She will educate you on which products and treatments to use to achieve the healthiest, shiniest hair you've ever had. Katie Gilbert
Katie has been a hair stylist for 13 years. She began her career at Waynes College of Beauty in Santa Cruz then went on to apprentice for 2 years under a very experienced stylist. Apprenticing gave Katie valuable knowledge in all aspects of hair coloring and customer service. She then started working independently at an Aveda Concept Salon. Katie attended many Aveda trainings during that time. Now that she is at Keparé she continues to attend hands-on classes and hair shows. She gets her inspiration from her clients and her passion for the beauty industry.
Katie's strength shines in her ability as a colorist. She is always excited by a challenge and trying something new. One of her favorite services is styling hair for special events. She is available for weddings and will go on site.

Rachel Byers
Rachel graduated at the top of her class from the prestigious Aveda Academy in Minneapolis. Upon returning to California, she continued additional training at their San Francisco Academy. Seeking more knowledge, she works hands-on with a busy Vidal Sassoon trained stylist / master colorist to expand and advance her training. Rachel enjoys both the precision, technical side of doing beautiful haircuts and color, as well as the artistic expression it takes to find and create the perfect look for someone. She is already an expert in the art of blow-dry and thermal styling, even on the most textured and hard to control hair. Rachel is well on her way to becoming a top stylist and colorist. Her passion for amazing hair includes learning all parts of our profession including Extensions and Keratin Smoothing Treatments. Rachel enjoys the happy atmosphere of Keparé, the support of her success from her coworkers, and the opportunities to learn that are all around her.
Allie Mardesich
Since childhood, Allie has loved doing everyone's hair, and always knew that she wanted to be a stylist. Allie studied at Marinello Schools of Beauty in Santa Clara, and then spent an additional year advancing her skills in cutting and coloring. Allie is certified with Cinderella Hair Extensions, and loves the art of giving clients longer and thicker hair. Another one of her passions is smoothing and permanent straightening using the advanced Zerran system, which is organic and certified green. Allie loves educating her clients about the importance of healthy hair, and helping them to love their hair! After previously being a Keparé client herself, Allie knew she wanted to join Keparé's team when she was ready. She is continuing her education and advancement while growing her new career with the Keparé family.
Esthetician Patty Williams
Patty received her esthetician's license in 1997. She has been working locally ever since. She joined the staff at Keparé in 1998. She is educated in all phases of skin care. Patty's specialties are facials, microdermabrasion, glycolic acid peels and chemical peels. Her facial treatments are an incredible 90 minutes long. You can expect a very thorough deep cleansing accompanied by the most pampering relaxing neck and shoulder massage, a foot and lower leg massage and a hand and arm massage accompanied by warm mitts. But if you would rather not spend that much time and $ she has an executive facial that is all of the above minus the neck and shoulder massage and the foot and lower leg massage.
Patty continues to pursue her education by taking advanced skin care classes by medical professionals and certified trainers. She has extensive training in skin care products and only uses products that are recommended by dermatologists and other skin care specialists. They all have been FDA approved and have met pharmaceutical standards.
My goals are to nurture a clientele that appreciates the benefits of aging with a healthy younger looking skin. I enjoy working with women who want to include skin care treatments to their health care program and design them so they are affordable as well as beneficial. I also like to educate women on how to work with products to repair restore and improve appearances. I feel very fortunate that I love what I do and that I can help contribute to the wellbeing of my clients.

Kate Welch
Kate has been a part of the Keparé family since the salon first opened. In addition to working as a hairstylist for 20 years, Kate has now started offering esthetician services, saying “I’ve always had an interest in skincare and it was a natural progression for me to move into this side of our profession.” After taking advanced skincare classes with Yon-Ka Paris, Kate is excited about sharing the benefits of their luxurious pharmaceutical grade products with her clients. She explains that “Yon-Ka products improve the health of the skin, while their natural plant botanicals and essential oil aromatherapy create a relaxing and soothing facial treatment.” Kate is also recognizable as one of the friendly faces from the front desk at Keparé, where she enjoys greeting you and doing her part to make your Keparé experience fantastic.
